The Villa is built with a high wooden ceiling and designed with the principle of ventilation, therefore making it very airy and not needing any air-conditioning. The rooms consist of ceiling fans and a mosquito net in the master bedroom. You can rent the whole villa which comes with a Master Bedroom that includes an attached bathroom (consist of a bathtub), a Guest Bedroom with an attached bathroom. A spacious living room with an adjacent dining room and fully equipped kitchen.
The Cabana is a tiny house with shorter inside walls built at the upper end of the garden and next to the villa. It includes a queen size bed, air-conditioning, a mini bar, an attached open-bathroom, a tiny pantry space, and its own little patio for the breezy evening.
The Villa can accommodate up to 5 people, while the Cabana can house a couple or if you just prefer the privacy as a single traveller. We recommend the Villa for a small family or as a couple or two, or just a group of close friends who don’t mind sharing the common areas and kitchen.
The garden consist of a number trees such as Ehela, Korn, Neem, Teak and Dhamaniya, that are frequented by a number of birds including a species of Toucan, Peacocks, Fruit birds, Woodpeckers, and more. It has a plunge pool of approximately 3×7 meters which has the sun during the morning and early afternoon hours. Towards the evening it gets covered by the shade of the beautiful Korn tree. The pool is also equipped with a swim jet facility if one would like to have a quick workout with spot swimming. However, a beautiful beach awaits you only 150 meters away, which is just a 2 minute walk.

I had the pleasure to visit Ehela for a month and it was the most peaceful stay I've ever had. Situated in a beautiful garden, it felt like a sanctuary and I slept like a log! The mornings were the best for me as I could quietly sip my tea on the patio and watch all the birds. I will surely come back.
I stayed in the villa for a month with my wife and my niece and we truly enjoyed it! I liked the privacy and I admired the way the main house is built, it's very spacious and airy. Next time, I am taking my friends with me and hopefully we will be able to have a barbecue and I can taste Tiger beer and a delicious Sri Lankan rum again.
I was backpacking around Sri Lanka with my best friend and we needed a place to stay for just a couple of nights. So we booked a tiny cabana at Ehela and it was just what we needed. Cosy, air-conned calm spot with a beautiful nearby beach to relax. The owner is really nice and he invited us for dinner with his family who stayed at the villa.
